Filip Idzikowski, Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.)

ResearcherID: C-1538-2015

Filip Idzikowski is an assistant professor (Polish: adiunkt naukowy) at the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications of Poznan University of Technology. His research activities focus on optical core networks, particularly:

  • energy efficient core networks
  • routing aspects in multi-layer networks
  • traffic modeling
  • network protection against failures

Filip led research activities within various national and European projects (e.g., BONE and TREND) being employed at the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), then at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), and currently at Poznan University of Technology (Poland). His current activities are supported by the Polish National Science Centre within the project “Energy saving in backbone networks - spatial variations of traffic demands, physical layer constraints, and protection against network failures“ (post-doctoral internship Fuga 3).
